GrapeVine has enhanced its advertising with
Banner Ads. When you purchase a banner ad on any other website, you get a tiny ad that acts as a click-through to your website. Your ad rotates on the site, and you pay according to click-throughs. Not so with GrapeVine. On the GrapeVine site, banner ads are given a prominent spot on the website. They do not rotate as in traditional banner ads, but stay on the website with every visit. Banner ads are posted on the homepage, the Articles & Blogs page and the Audio/Video page. When you click on a banner ad, it does not automatically go to the website but instead opens up a PDF ad with hyperlinks leading to your website and email. This gives you, the advertiser, a unique opportunity to target your ad to visitors, giving them a specific purpose for going to your website. GrapeVine still offers different ad sizes (see below), giving you the flexibility to chose an affordable option for your advertising needs. The larger the ad size you purchase, the more space you have to offer information on your product, and the better position you get on the website. Ads are sold on a monthly basis, with the option of renewing your ad. If you choose to contract with GrapeVine for a 3 month option, you will receive 10% off the total cost. A 6 month option gives you a 20% discount. Contracted ads receive priority with regards to placement. All advertisers receive a proof of both their display ad and their banner ad. No ad is posted without the advertiser's approval. Sizes and rates are as follows:

ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES - For a fee of $10 per episode, your organization would be mentioned a total of 3 times throughout the podcast - at the beginning and the end, and in the middle, a more detailed description would be given of your organization along with contact information. Your organization would also be mentioned on the GrapeVine website, in the podcast show notes with a live link which would stay up for 2-3 weeks. The GrapeVine News Minute Podcast averages about 150-285 listeners per week but often times new listeners go back and listen to older podcasts. In all, the News Minute has had over 25,130 listens since its inception back in July of 2006 (as of January 4, 2008 - this does not include our affiliates). Affiliates include Catholic Jukebox.com radio, Celebrate Radio, Pelican Radio and the Catholic Music Express.

BUILDING YOUR OWN AD - SUBMITTING
CAMERA-READY ARTWORK
All ads must be RGB and high resolution, 300 dpi. You can submit either a JPG or a PDF; if you are creating a PDF through Adobe Acrobat, select Press as your option and choose Highest Quality. Make sure the color is specified as RGB. HAVING GRAPEVINE BUILD YOUR AD - SUBMITTING COPY AND ARTWORK All graphics must be RGB and high resolution, 300 dpi. You can email Susan at susan@gvonline.net with your copy, and instructions pertaining to the layout. Please send any graphics through www.yousendit.com - you can easily open an account for free and use the above email address to send the artwork. If you have more than one graphic or photo, you would need to zip the files and then send the zipped file through www.yousendit.com. You can also sketch out your layout and fax it to our hotline, 206-600-6940. A proof will be sent to you for your approval. There is no extra cost for this service. If you do not have graphics at 300 dpi but have very large images at 72 dpi (for example, an image measuring 16 x 11 at 72 dpi can be resized to 6 x 4 at 300 dpi - we can do that for you), they are acceptable. Glossy photos that can be sent by mail are also acceptable. |
