Rules

  • No unsolicited material will be accepted. You must write to the editor first, and request permission. Unsolicited submissions will not be acknowledged. This also applies to CDs mailed to the GrapeVine offices - if they are sent without the editor being notified, they will not be acknowledged.

  • All stories are subject to editing and approval by the editor. There is no guarantee that a story will be accepted. If you are submitting an article that was printed in a newspaper, magazine or blog, you must provide written permission from the newspaper, magazine or blog (an email from the publication is acceptable - simply copy and paste their reply into your email). If you do not obtain permission, GrapeVine will not accept the article.

  • All songs are subject to approval by the editor. In order to prevent copyright issues, songs either must be originals (and the artist must grant permission to GrapeVine in writing to feature the song) or the artist must obtain permission from the songwriter and/or publisher in writing, to be presented to GrapeVine. Songs must be in mp3 format, preferably at 128 kbs. There is no guarantee that a song will be accepted.

  • MP3s of podcasts may be submitted but cannot exceed 10 minutes in length. You must inform the editor of the size of the file before sending. There is no guarantee that a podcast will be accepted.

  • Videos follow the same rules as songs with regards to copyright issues. To submit a video, you must send the embedded code found on YouTube or GodTube. No videos will be directly loaded onto this site. There is no guarantee that a video will be accepted. If you are submitting someone else's video, you must secure permission first.

  • GrapeVine is always looking for CDs, DVDs and books related to Catholic music or the faith. Write the editor to obtain the address. There is no guarantee that a CD, DVD or book will be reviewed.
